FELLINIANA

Federico Fellini was one of the defining figures of twentieth-century cinema.
Over the course of a forty-year career, from 1950 to 1990, he created a unique and instantly recognizable universe, populated by eccentric, poetic, and often unforgettable characters.

Over the course of his career, he won five Academy Awards, four for Best Foreign Language Film, awarded to La Strada, Nights of Cabiria, 8½ and Amarcord, followed by the Honorary Academy Award in 1993. With twelve nominations in total, Fellini secured his place in the history of cinema as one of its greatest figures.

A LEGACY THAT
BELONGS TO THE WORLD

There is something that unites millions of people around the world, a love of cinema.
Cinema has made us dream, moved us, and given us memories. It has transcended generations, languages, and cultures.
And Italy gave the world one of its greatest Masters, Federico Fellini.

Five Academy Awards, an imagery that became universal, a way of storytelling so unique that his name became a word recognized around the world, Felliniesque.
Fellini did not simply represent Italian cinema.
He represented Italy to the world.
And it is from this greatness that Felliniana was born.
There is no end. There is no beginning.
There is only an infinite passion for life.

NINO ROTA: THE SOUND OF FELLINI
GRAMMY MUSEUM

At the GRAMMY Museum, Felliniana opens a new door, the world of music. If Federico Fellini created entire universes through images, Nino Rota composed their very breath, writing music that became inseparable from Fellini’s poetic vision.

The encounter between these art forms will be brought to life by José Cura, the legendary tenor who has performed on the world’s greatest stages, from the Metropolitan Opera to La Scala and Covent Garden, as well as a conductor, composer, and sound engineer, an artist capable of moving across different creative languages with the same extraordinary power.
